goth - an alternative subculture that rose in the 80s from post punk and similar alternative music cultures, focusing on a dark romantic understanding of life and appreciation for the macabre. music and culture are the main focuses of goth, with post punk and gothic rock being the main music styles and much of the culture pulling inspiration from the victorian gothic era of literature, art, architecture, and obsession with the macabre, dark, and death

the medium dark blue stripe represents gender identity and self

the dark blue stripe represents presentation and appearance

the black lace stripe represents connectedness to gothic subculture

the raindrops represent connectedness to rain, weather, and storms

the lightest blue stripe represents gender nonconformity and queerness

the light blue stripe represents femininity

the light medium stripe represents androgyny

the light dark stripe represents masculinity
