↳  Of Sea Wolves and their kin.

◈ Following a particularly daring foray into the midst of the Indigo Deep and Bloodbrine thereafter, upon the intrusion of the Northern Blank’s waters, a Sea Wolf captain is said to have braved the direst of storms in a quest to chart out the here-to-fore lesser known expanse of waves beyond. The legend thus goes that, during a particularly hard assault of waves against the hull of his vessel, the captain was knocked across the railing, into a swarm of sharks.

◈ What started out as a brawl to the death soon ended with the Roegadyn emerging victorious, though at no grave nor fatal cost. It is said that, where the incursion began with but a few crew members hopeful of little more than an expedition with minimal losses, it concluded with not only that, but two additional shipmates joining their fold... One by land, the other by ways of the waves.

After an excruciatingly painful ordeal of grinding this blasted thing, I’ve finally managed it. The minion I managed to get on my first run, while the shark just narrowly evaded me on my second ever voyage... And has been fleeing me since. Until today, where I had to spawn a rainbow current myself in order to see it fall into my hands. Or arms.

Oh, and you best bet these two are going to join his IC, canon ensemble of companions. I did not strain myself this far and this much to miss adding these signature two spirit animals of his to Dornn’s story.

I’ll work on their names soon enough, as well as the possibility of giving Dhem his own twin shark(s) eventually.

To whom it may concern,

Whether you are a denizen of the Northern Empty, fleeing the tyrannical hand of ‘law’ imposed by the despot, hail from one of the islands surrounding the archipelago’s Mainland, or possess roots of the Blank while living in settlements removed from its shores across all of Eorzea, all who adhere--or wish to, at least--to the Old ways and tongue, are hereby cordially invited to join the Rainlanders of Aerslaent fellowship. From salty sailor to sheltered shaman, all are welcome within its fold.

After a bit of mulling it over, and a generous lot of coaxing from others, I’ve decided to cave in and, in light of lacking Roegadyn non-ERP fellowships, nurture my own into being.

The general purpose behind it is of simple nature--to foster an environment allowing for artistic freedom of expression, given how lacking the lore of Roegadyn origin is. To give way to worldbuilding, canon or not, and to explore, with greater depth, the ways of the Rainlanders, their lives, traditions and culture.

Beyond that, we’ll see what wind blows, and what the future has in store. But having had met a few Aerslaent-kin in the past few days alone, has me wondering.
