Also, to be a bit more clear-- Blossomtuft and Rainstar are the bio parents of Silverkit/whisker, while Hazebird and Amberthistle are the bio parents to Dawnmoth.
Hazebird was part of his daughter's life, but he backed away after seeing Rainbur act like her father when he and Amberthislte started raising their kits together (making Silverwhisker Amberthistle's adoptive kit and Dawnmoth Rainbur's adoptive kits), feeling like he wasn't needed to either of them anymore.
