Yesterday my son learned why he does lockdown drills at his elementary school. Yesterday he asked to march. Today he made his first protest signs. He traced his first-grader hand twenty times, once for each of the first graders murdered at Sandy Hook. We wrote each of their names. We walked to the capitol. We listened to teenagers addressing thousands on a freezing Saturday morning in Minnesota. We demanded change with them. We explored the gilded capitol building. And as we pushed back into the cold, he asked when he could vote. #marchforourlives #marchforourkids #momsdemandaction #minnesotamarch #raisingworldchangers #nogunsforbadguys #stpaulbatman (at Capitol, Saint Paul, Minnesota)
