Some photos of us with the family who ran the homestay. They were so fantastic and kind. Despite some language barrier issues (we spoke no Hindi like fools) we were able to communicate and enjoy each others’ company. The grandmother was so nice to us and when we left she said that while our parents would be sad if we stayed in India, she was going to be sad because we left. They also served us breakfast every morning in their kitchen and it was amazing food. Some of the photos are blurry because I showed the boys how to set up the camera timer. I think all of us took hundreds of photos both on my phone and camera :) I’m so glad to have met them and luckily we’re all on facebook and whatsapp.

Some shots of the walk to the homestay from the main road, this is Village Rakkar. We ended up in quite a few photos with kids because we were Rare White Westerners(TM) :’)

Views of the Himalayas from the roof of the homestay. It was so beautiful there. The fog was really cool too because it was so thick sometimes it completely obscured the mountains even though they are huge and so close.
