Ready for Launch!
Take to the air, land and sea for a look at the awesome vehicles of Atlantis.
All Atlantean vehicles are made of materials known only in the Inner World. Each vehicle is shaped like a sea creature and looks like a stone statue when it's not in use . But when powered up by Atlantis' giant crystal, they fly like supersonic jets.
[1] Kraken
If you think you see a flying squid, it's probably a Kraken. Carrying a crew of three, the Kraken's nine tentacles can grasp and crush objects just like a real squid. Plus, it can blast enemies with an energy beam.
[2] Rakuda
Watch out! This jumbo-sized fish—which gets its name from its barracuda shape—can really do some damage. Carrying a crew of of five, the Rakuda glides into battle and then blasts even its largest enemies into bits with its energy-beam torpedoes.
[3] Nartak
The big, lumbering Nartak takes its shape (and size) from the narwhal. Used mostly to transport troops and supplies, it carries two crew members plus as many as 25 passengers.
[4] Martag
Like tiny fighter jets, Martags buzz all over the place during battle. They're small (with room for one or two rider only) and quick, as well as armed with the crystal-powered energy-beam weapon.
[5] Baylokh
If Martags are like fighter jets, Baylokhs are like fighter bikes. Built for just one person, they zip in and out of tight places fast and can sneak behind enemy lines. They also look really cool, like a manta ray.
[6] Turtak
The Turtak may look like a plain old sea turtle, but it carries a nasty bite. Built for major battle, the midsized attack vessel holds a crew of three to five people. It can flatten buildings with its powerful energy beam.
[7] Martak
A crew of two can fight on land or in the air in the crab-shaped Martak. It can scurry across the ground and leap into the air to fly over enemies, dropping energy-beam bombs all over the place.
[8] Energize! Atlantean vehicles are driven by the same crystal that powers Atlantis.
Notes:
It didn't occur to me during the film that every single vehicle in the climax was a war-machine. Whether the hammerheaded one or the one Milo crashed were also intended as weapons are not mentioned here, though the Fandom Wiki seems to have information on them. However, as that wiki constantly discusses the events of a nonexistent third film, I'll wait to find official sources rather than repost what it says.
It should be noted this article mixes up the Martag and Martak, describing the vehicle as crab-shaped while the picture is incredibly fish-like.
