check him out. Really. @ralphbear25
Friend of mine did a great show so far. voice actors are relatively new but it has great manga artwork with some of maurice’s own images on the side. The artwork helps give the ambiance of the music and acting a noir-esque feel to it. Considering this is about a young man trying to play hero with no super powers, it’s really about driving home the sensation that he’s a person trying to do what’s right by risking his life as someone else. Music composed here seems to give more emotion and breath to the storytelling of the scenario than most of the acting will do. The actors in general being up and coming, and seem to try saying their lines as if off a recording from having no context of how to portray a directed response. However, the female actresses themselves have been known to have quite the renown in handling good voice acting. The one playing terra, if you can’t imagine it, is actually british when she’s playing a well portrayed australian accent. The one who plays the spectre, however, may have the voice fit for the role in general, but appears to be willing to keep putting his all in bettering his performance to bring out more of james jordans anguish at being in the role he’s put into. A side note is the jarring effect having separate art styles has on the viewers mind, which makes them question who’s doing the actual panel to panel artwork. Needless to say, this series is only starting out, and it’s at least leagues above how most others starting out barely afford a manga artist of this calibre. Sad that they had to budget and use the producers own art style in sparingly moderate portions. At least it was sparingly, which is a smart move to preserve the style the video tries to portray. All in all, it’s a grade A average great work of video episode making. The tension itself was portrayed, and it made me genuinely worried about the stories overall plot in question. Not to mention the writing itself at least gives us the sense of fear that there can be portrayals of hero and villain wannabe’s. Especially when the villain wannabe is willing to actually go out of her way to force it to happen.
