Chagrined to say I didn’t even know he had written a book, but Right Down the Middle: The Ralph Terry Story was published on October.
Fitting because Terry gave up one of the most famous home runs in baseball history in that month to Bill Mazeroski in the 1960 World Series.

"Terry Passes The Cigars -- Pitcher Ralph Terry of the New York Yankees, passes out cigars to his teammate, outfielder Mickey Mantle, at Yankee Stadium after announcing the birth of a son, Frank Gabe Terry, to his wife, Tanya, at Larned, Kansas. Terry pitched and lost the second World Series game to the San Francisco Giants, but won the fifth game with the final score being 5-3. In game seven, Terry pitched a four hit shutout of the Giants, and was announced the World Series MVP." 1962.
