The pain of what has passed:
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله writes:
“(The pain) of what has passed can not be removed by grieving over it, but only through:
• Acceptance (i.e. being pleased with Allaah's Decree) (al-Ridhaa)
• Gratitude (al-Hamd)
• Patience (al-Sabr)
• Faith in Predestination
(al-Imaan bil-Qadr)
and the saying of the slave:
“It is the decree of Allāh and what He Wills, He Does” (قَدَّرَ اللَّهُ وَمَا شَاءَ فَعَلَ)."
[Zaad al-Ma`aad | 2-327]
Ramadan Mubarak everyone
May Allah answer every single one of our dua’s this Ramadan, I hope this Ramadan changes us and we come out of this month better and all round; spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Please do remember me and my parents in your dua’s .
Dua for "LAYLATUL QADR"
اللْهُمَّ إِنَّكَ عَفُوٌّ تُحِبُّ الْعَفْوَ فَاعْفُعَنِّي
O ALLAH, YOU ARE THE ONE WHO FORGIVES GREATLY, AND LOVES TO FORGIVE, SO FORGIVE ME.
[Tirmidhi]
Love For Allaah
Shaykh Al-Islam Ibn Taymiyyah [رحمه الله] said:
❝There is no happiness for the hearts neither complete delight [for them] except in the love of Allah and drawing close to Him with that which He loves.
And love for Him is not possible except by turning away from every beloved other than Him and this is the true reality of La ilaha illallah…❞
[Majmoo' Al-Fatawa, (28/32) | The Majma' Ed. (1416 H.) | Translated]
قال رسول الله - صلى الله عليه وسلم -: «كلمتان خفيفتان على اللسان، ثقيلتان في الميزان، حبيبتان إلى الرحمن: سبحان الله وبحمده، سبحان الله العظيم».
متفق عليه.
