in reference to your twitter. not every straight ship is misogynistic, goddamn. calm down and let bi/pan/other people have their fun instead of claiming every little not girl x girl ship is an attack on women. sincerely, someone who likes women, men, and everything else.
You can be talking one of two cases:
My essay on why CaraGato sucks (it does).
My vehement vitriol for Sea Fairy & Pomegranate x Men.
Either way, I'll clear something up for you in the simplest way:
M/F Ships are not inherently misogynstic or lesbiphobic. M/F Ships that overwrite a woman's character are misogynistic. M/F ships involving lesbians are misogynistic AND lesbophobic.
I hope this helps!
mfw when i go into pome's tag and it's teeming with licopom shippers
Weather Update Also
Oh it gets better, Licorice is a jerk to Poison Mushroom, whereas Pomegranate genuinely worries for them
I am being vindicated this update muahaha
Hang on, is Pomegrante Cookie a actual lesbian? I don't ship LicoPom, i'm just asking./srs
Pomegranate Cookie is canonly 2 things: -Not interested in men, as there has not been a single man whom she has had a positive interaction with. (Wind Archer's corruption, Licorice's belittlement, Dark Choco's abuse, Dark Cacao's corruption, etc.) There is no way to write a positive interaction between her and a man without fundamentally changing/ignoring how her character actually is. She doesn't even bother addressing Red Velvet with respect- All instances of her talking to a man have been negative. -Sapphic. Both in media and ingame, it is outright stated that she harbors feelings towards another woman. (Although I despise and abhor DEPome more than I care to put into words right now, but that's a topic for another day.)
DevSis in general will never outright state or confirm canon sexualities, as they love using ambiguity as their special magic spice. However, it is safe to say that since Pomegranate is both attracted to other women and not interested in men, she reads as a lesbian (ironically, much more than Sea Fairy does, but that's also a topic for another day). Plus you can see how different Pomegranate needs to be portrayed in fanart for ships involving her and a man to work, you cannot look at LicoPome fanart and tell anyone with a straight face that this is within the realm of Pomegranate's character. ¯\_(._.)_/¯
Why are you so fucking brain dead? Why do you harass people and run and play victim? It’s pathetic. You’ve harassed people forever now, and people let you get away with it. Grow up already. You do it with every ship you don’t agree with.
I don't know how to get it across to you that you and others like you that flaming and flooding my inbox is no skin off my nose whatsoever.
I had another snarky quip typed out at first, but at this point you might cry if I do, so, yea, take the clue and scram lol
What do you think of her Primordial Light costume?
From an externnal standpoint, I feel kind of disappointed that Primelight's design was rehashed from a scrapped cookie concept.
From an internal standpoint, I think Primordial Light's lore is alluded to in Ovenbreak, where a jelly set asks "Have you heard of the time when the Sun and Moon were one?"
Primordial Light represents a divine light that was much too powerful for the wizards to ever realistically hope to control, it was Moonlight at her purest, when her power was hers and she had full dominion over it.
I think it (alongside the entire labyrinth of remembrance) complete the implied lore that we had about Moonlight and what transpired, I know it confirmed much of my headcanons, so I can't say I don't like it! It just… y'know, feels like it could be more, maybe?
I like to think that Luminous Coral is what Sea Fairy would look like if she reached the moon :]
It's mentioned in Luminous Coral's description that Sea Fairy attained this look upon reaching the shore of a beach at dawn. She was so mesmerized by the look that she adapted this appearance. Luminous Coral is a checkpoint in Sea Fairy's journey to find Moonlight, she's not there yet- But she's getting there, she's making progress. She's not stuck in the depths or lost at sea all alone anymore, she's getting there!
