omg yes i've thought about a reader with size shifting powers too!! my favorite idea with them is that they're ashamed of their powers because of their time in the lab so it takes them a looooong time to tell the party the truth about their powers and even longer to use them in front of someone
i'm in love with steve harrington so i like to think that he'll be the first person she tells about/shows her powers to. either by accident or on purpose 😻
oh my goodness great minds thinks alike!! the idea has been spinning in my head since i finally finished stranger things this week (ik ik, i just wasn't ready for it to be over). and 100% steve is going to find reader using their powers by accident.
im such a sucker for size shifters in distress. reader is most likely tiny and hiding away. steve is all freaked out but his voice is soft and sweet. and reader being able to cozy in steve's hand, resting against his chest. steve blabbing off some horrible lame excuse to the party when reader disappears, as he has reader tucked away in his pocket. protecting reader from the rest of the world!
then reader turning big is a harder secret to keep, and steve can no longer lie his way out for reader. also steve getting incredibly flustered when the tables are turned, and he's in reader's gentle hold. he never admits it but it's nice every nice in a while. and the rest of the party just in awe at reader, semi-offended they kept such a cool power away from them. the boys probably rambling out reader is a real life ant-man /or wasp from their comic books. and reader may be a bit of tease, poking steve's side gently, picking him up by the back of his shirt just to annoy him.
