Had a nice birthday im happy :D
Possibly hot take but literally none of the dhmis characters would be gender-conforming if they were humans
i love and hate how toxic sauron and galadriel are
on one hand: i want wholesome only in fiction real life is bad enough no angsty only happy
on the other: they manipulated each other? the crux of their relationship is "i used you as i pawn in my ambition" vs "i became obsessed with claiming you to prove my power and destroy your goodness and nobility"
like HELLO and yet at the same time they change each other for the better/worse: like sauron actually participates in SAVING people, which if he wanted to simply kill the orcs to "heal" the world that's fine but he fucking saves Elendil (the IRONY) which is like something he never would have done previously cause he's an eternal spirit being that existed before morals were created and he has no qualms about right and wrong (shown by how many orcs were implied to have been sacrificed in sauron's quest for dark power)
and i can't remember but i think halbrand subltly encourages galadriel to be like not a good person? like she's full on genocidal she wants all the orcs dead just because they're orcs (galadriel racist arc???) and halbrand by saying he wanted to stay in numenor baited her into convincing him to come? i fully believe sauron was intentionally "wanting to settle down" knowing galadriel would take it as a challenge
and if i turn my au brainrot into a thumbnail practice?...
what if,,,, what if heheheheheheh
itto and ayato brainrot or maybe ayato's ingame model just looks to pretty that im mistaking it for a loving gaze towards every character hes with
EVEN HIS OWN CLONE LOOKS GOOD WITH HIM WTH
I’ve noticed that a lot of OM fanartists I follow have either abruptly stopped or are slowly phasing out of creating OM content. This has me wondering if it’s just the people around me, or is this indicative that less people are playing the game?
As much as I love the characters, I believe Obey Me has a lot of flaws, both in the game and in the developer’s management of it. We had crappy UR rates (before they permanently increased), the 100 DV fiasco, and overall the game makes it difficult to progress even if you have good cards. There’s also not much incentive in the game I realized; aka you have to put in a lot of effort to level your cards and gain levels, but the story has been staggering a bit. I think the fact that routes are not available really kills incentive as well, because at one point it’s a bit tiring to experience the same recycled event of kissing/flirting with all the members.
This has been my experience with the game, and although I still like it, I’ve definitely not as obsessed as I used to be. (I’ll still create content since I enjoy drawing the characters of course). Those reading this, has it been the same for you or others around you, or is the game still as fervently popular as it was months ago? I’m curious!
edit: thank you for the detailed feedback and responses! I appreciate everyone taking the time to give their input.
I genuinely can't stop thinking about Zack and Ivy.
Like, not in the funny simping way, but the way as in we got no exploration or elaboration Zack and Ivy's backstory.
Like, okay, they were in a bad situation with a crime boss, "Shark-Head Eddie" and when Carmen came along, they fled.
. Why did we get no elaboration on that? No episode or exploration on that as a whole???
How on earth did they (or Ivy since she was the one who got them into the situation from what I remember,) get into the situation? How'd they meet? What type of people do these 2 troubled redheads know in Boston?
Also, how are they both only 18 & 19? Fresh adults.
Zack somehow knows how to drive. Ivy is a tech-wiz/full engineer somehow.
Who taught Zack to drive? Was it Ivy? Who taught her? Did she get into an accident, or is Zack's crash the reason for her fear of driving?
Why do we only see them as the "two side-kicks who are supposed to lookup to their super cool boss 😎!!!"
Uh? Am I thinking too deep into this? Personally in the way I see it, Carmen could learn a LOT from them.
Other than basic things like driving, advice or emotional support as friends, but to have normal experiences as a young adult. To learn about pop-culture references and for her to feel and understand what it is to be her age.
Zack and Ivy are really good friends, a little immature, obviously, but they're a good fit for Carmen as a crew.
They're literally background characters, irrelevant yet relevant as well. What?
