Under the cut bc idk how much I'm gonna spill lol
I had work last night, it went fairly well. I had a long ass meeting, like nearly 3 hours bc it was a group management meeting followed up immediately by an individual meeting but despite that I got some questions answered and had a very productive night.
There was also, unfortunately, a disabled man who wandered into my store seeming very lost and confused. He clearly walked from across the street where some fast food places were bc he had a bag from there, but he was mumbling to himself and was just floating around up front. When I went to check on him he explained he lost his mother's number and couldn't get back home :( I think he was probably going to try to walk home which was why he ended up over in my store. I'm glad he did tho bc I just sat him on a bench inside and got an Uber for him since he was able to tell me his address. Took me a minute to figure out what to do bc he was a disabled black man and I just wanted him home and didn't want anyone to call the cops on him for just wandering around (which people do, even well meaning ones). Thankfully he got home safely, I tipped the Uber well for helping me out.
I have my nephew in my care for the next few days and am taking vacation time from work so i can be at home with him the whole time! He's 8 and really wanted to hang out with me alone which was only fair bc last month I had his brother only for a trip.
Hoping for a good vacation with him! I plan on drawing more in my time off as I get the chance but I will be caring for an 8 yo too rn so we'll see how much I actually get done haha
