the concept of Whitaker bombing his house sitting gig was not possible to me until Gerran’s recent interviews 💔 I also thought he wouldn’t have bombed taking a picture of the board since I figured it would be hard to mess that up, but his silly loserisms always finds new heights in impressive ways.
I can now only imagine Robby coming home to an absolute devastation of his house and seeing Whitaker looking up at him with eager eyes, metaphorical tail wagging, and being unable to scold him for any of it. I feel like Dennis could be very obsessive with cataloguing things based on the glimpse of how we saw him organize his stuff in the abandoned hospital wing, but I can definitely imagine him re-sorting stuff based on a completely illogical system, leaving furniture askew or trailing crumbs everywhere, even in the bed and stuff. Robby’s gonna be living in his house again for weeks after returning from his sabbatical, tossing and turning in his crumby bed, exploding whitaker with his mind. When he actually shows up on shift however, all his anger fades away when seeing how excited and eager Dennis is to work with him again. It’s the way Robby kind of completely trusts him too, with his house and with Duke — he just sees Dennis as the puppy he never (always) wanted.
