Things that were revealed about what Carlos & TK want for their wedding:

They chose to go with traditional tuxedos

They chose to have a traditional vanilla wedding cake

They want roses & lilacs for their flowers (Lilacs are a spring/very early summer flower – so that leads to a late April/May wedding

They are having a ‘groom’s’ table (or sweetheart table) – meaning no actual head table (& somehow Owen thought it needed 3 centerpieces/floral arrangements) – this makes me wonder if they have any wedding party at all.

They do NOT want flower arches

They are trying to stay within their budget (I was thrilled that they talk about wedding stuff being expensive – especially fresh flowers)

They wanted to plan their own wedding – have it be their own.

The flower arrangement that Owen showed on his laptop was actually really tame, but was more than enough for Carlos & TK.

They were willing to put up with their parents’ wishes until they realized that they would be sitting in a jungle of flowers & arches, eating gluten-free vegan cake, while listening to yacht rock even though they will not be on a yacht.

i choose the thing i thought it would be good, its not as challenging as it seem to others, and maybe its not,

while he was at something he couldnt resist, he sacrificed himself to do that, i dont know wether it was pure intention to explore himself or not. but whatever.

he get all the attention, the praise, the development, i thought i never get , i never see the pain, the suffering, and many sad and bad things through it.

Rambling thoughts while rewatching 4x10

I love it when they open with a TNT call

But they are always so gross

Whichever people are in charge of Hair, makeup, and wardrobe deserves raises – they have been so on point this season it is crazy.

The many looks of Tommy Vega are a personal favorite

I can’t even put eye drops in my eyes. I can’t even fathom using contacts – I will stick to my glasses.

I love Andy – but want to punch Pearce in the face on a minutely basis (hourly wouldn’t be enough)

If he knows the equipment is faulty – it is pretty shitty that he is hijacking patients that are already being treated.

These people all look like people I would NOT love spending time with. Like you have to entertain them to get them to donate to charity (Specifically the football owner) or they want to become your sugar mama (I think that older woman would have tried to get into Carlos’ pants if given the chance)

It is funny that we have been getting more scenes of TK being more possessive – but in more overt ways that Carlos has been in the past

Tommy isn’t wrong about shit supplies ending up costing more in the long run – unfortunately too many think only about right now

Nancy finding out new things about Mateo – only to discover that he was just around his roommate too much. Then making him read the author his referred to.

I like that she calls him “Teo” - a little crumb of their relationship

She is clearly comfortable in the house, but they are also comfortable living separately.

I actually hate the Paragon guy more than Pearce. Maybe not as much as Tommy clearly (and justifiably) does though.

Carlos is correct – it is not deceiving the friends and family. There are far too many people that disregard times for events – thinks they are more like suggestions

I kinda wonder if they will have Grace get in trouble for her assists to the 126? Or if her rockstar dispatcher status would just make it so it never becomes an issue

Mateo spits out random scientific facts like Buck does natural disasters & history stats.

That would be such a nightmare for that poor dude – so much trouble getting him out due to all that blood.

I am with TK on this one (Nancy too) I would want to punch him too. All the time.

If he is willing to work with the faulty equipment until it hurts HIM, is he really that great of a paramedic?

He is actually pretty gross in his willingness to put others at risk until it hurts him.

It would have been totally worth it.

Rambling thoughts while rewatching Episode 4x12 “Swipe Left”

Carlos tells TK he is putting too much pressure on this – but says that after listing out his whole ass tea box

Lol – it’s supposed to be fun

My research had told me that the Rabbi would most likely want Carlos to convert.

My 42 years on this planet told me that Tom would be a douchey religious dude that thinks any and all queers are going to hell – I have quite literally heard it my entire life

No wonder that I am so repulsed by organized religion (I don’t care what you practice – just don’t put your beliefs on me.)

I do agree with the Rabbi on not listening to outside forces

TK thought that when Carlos told him that he was married – it was the last of the “difficult conversations”.

Like I said before – If your partner says there is a gaping chasm – there is one.

When can we stop using comas for why we don’t communicate? There have been 26 episodes since the last coma. Just fucking talk.

Or making the secret wife jokes – Each time – TK’s face has NOT been amused – but ha ha funny fucking joke. Please keep joking about the lie you kept from me for our whole relationship.

Carlos’ tone is very dismissive in the kitchen – I get that he likes to avoid things, but that was really trying to avoid it. Not just about the kids thing – but about TK telling him that he feels a rift growing due to their lack of communication on the subject.

I really strongly dislike Mitch Geralds, his wife too but he is just so instantly punchable.

He is lucky he met the 126 post Owen’s punching people stage

He reminds me of a creepy dude that I know – appearance and personality.

I love that they brought him in for her love interest.

She really is/was the only one not currently coupled off

I feel like Marjan has had the most consistent storyline this season.

Also – so valid of Nancy to just move on with her dating tutorial as if he hadn’t spoken.

So, is Owen’s safe word rutabaga?

Not sure who was more enamored with the cheating cheater who cheats, but I think it might have been Owen – Marj didn’t go on a fried chicken bender

No fucking thank you on 8 kids – also especially not with that super douche. However – at least he is up front with his preferred spawn count.

I love that she asked on how they would feel about her working after marriage – For her – that is such a huge part of who she is.

Are people still that nuts about Harry Potter? I know that they had to movies & the stupid game that is/coming out, but are people still as into it as that dude was?

So, do we think he really does dog rescue crowd sourcing or did he just google image a dog with deformities for compassion points?

How many days passed in this episode? There were 4 dates in one day, right?

So the training was 1-2 days (I am guessing based on clothing) they probably started the training sessions that shift – so that would be day 1, then day 2 was with Tarlos.

Then the dates – all 4 in one day makes sense – but would it really be that easy to set all 4 up with a 1-day notice?

Plus the officiant day before the shift

Then the shift where they commiserate over dating issues

Leading into the pregnant lady rescue

Then Tarlos talk to their parents – another day (Could be the same day as the shift of commiseration)

Then the next day when they talk at the end

So at least a week total?

This talk in the bunk room makes me very happy that I haven’t had to date since 2007.

Dating rules are fucking stupid and I LOVE NANCY for that.

She is so cute though when he texts her – but not as cute as she is with Yusef.

At first, I thought that they set her up with the guys and chaperoned for the one they set up – until Owen fell in love & Mateo made a new friend.

I feel like working the desk in a no-tell motel would be both fascinating and sad as fuck.

“Avoid? I don’t avoid.” says Carlos Avoid & Deflect Reyes

This is among the best advice that Owen has given throughout the series

I like that throughout the episode neither of them doubts the love of or for the other.

The only irritating thing for me was Andrea telling Carlos it wasn’t true when he told her that he had only had a relationship with Gabriel until 2 years ago. – That isn’t for her to decide or determine. I would love to get to explore that a bit more – but with Gabriel

I do think that my spec fic was pretty right in the big ways (other than the very self-indulgent venue burning).

I like that we got a confirmation that Paul & Asha are together

Babe - you could have bought a cat – it would be a pet you could pet & wouldn’t cause too many nightmares.

Also – I don’t love that impression either, but I love that they are comfortable being dorks together.

The closing scene in this is the growth I needed to see in Carlos. This was him actually speaking, something that he was truly worried about (he even said as much to his mother in why he hadn’t talked about it before), but doing it anyway. Telling TK that he didn’t want kids, may not ever want them. He knew that TK might not be ok with it, but he still did it.

Through the episode, it felt to me that TK was trying to come to terms with his life picture changing, leading him to the conclusion that, for him, being with Carlos is the more important part of the picture, and he was ok with that. It just took time and thinking.

Lets hope that Carlos can continue having the hard talks instead of deflecting from them.

Rambling thoughts while rewatching Lone Star ep 4x11 – Double Trouble (Finishing Edging the Bet made it so that I am just now getting to a rewatch of the episode (only watched it live))

The pregnancy & dropping out were my two biggest suspicions for Wyatt’s news

Joining the FD was a little farther on my list – but I didn’t expect to see three announcements (although technically – you could combine the dropping out & FD thing together)

So how are along is she?

When did he decide to drop out of school? When were these midterms? Did he complete his first semester then, but quit ½ way through the 2nd?

Doesn’t TK remember hearing about Mateo’s cousin? He was there for the first time Mateo mentioned Marvin

So – he came from the side of the wall – not the door to the bunk room? – that blocking just seemed like a weird choice.

Someone suggested taking shots anytime Mateo or Marvin say “cuz” = 8 shots in like 2 minutes (3 for Mateo & 5 for Marvin)

The “I’d like to teach the world to sing” reminds me of the kid songs videos – it was on the “Teach the world to sing” (we had it on VHS – because I am old).

“I would really suggest that you try to calm down.” Carlos Reyes – to a woman that should be dead

Carlos thinking – “Thank fuck, you guys finally got here for this woman that should be dead, but is yelling at me about the demon spawn children.”

I am not a fan of going to the Dr. either lady

Winston Churchill gave a lot of good speeches – none of them are ones that I would think to watch to get ideas for my child’s wedding toast (and I am a history nerd like Owen) – but it does make sense for him – if he ever gets a pet that he gets to name – that is what I would guess that he would name them.

I am a fan of Tommy in her gym clothes.

This scene is probably the most I have EVER related to Judd. The self-doubt/loathing is so hard to look/see past. At least he has Tommy & Grace.

What does Judd even have in his hand in the firehouse kitchen scene that was alphabetized

“As long as these chimes don’t go off” give “Unless the bells go off” vibes – Owen talking to Gwyn in 2x04 (old) firehouse kitchen scene.

That Mateo is into pokemon – not surprising – BUT – where did all his cards come from? Did he rebuild his collection once he moved in with Owen or was his collection at the firehouse, miraculously saving it?

$24,100 is a lot of fucking money.

If I had been asking my husband to fix something for 4 years – I would have already figured out how to fix it. That is a long fucking time man.

I think that the sitcom thing fits Mateo’s character – but would have been weird for anyone else – with the exception of maybe Owen.

So, did Marvin keep his hair that pink color to keep a guilt trip on Mateo – since he used it to cover for him in the first place?

Also – these are some old looking 13-year-olds.

How did Mateo not know he was a DREAMER until he was 17?

So setting a school on fire made Mateo want to be a firefighter? I can buy that, makes a lot of sense – I like getting the whys of their job choices on these shows.

Who did he move to Texas with at 16? But still not know he was a DREAMER until he was 17?

He lived with his aunt & uncle from 6-16, then ?? from 16- at least adulthood?
