Last ashra of ramdan 2016 started 

I seek forgiveness from Allah and its creatures and myself. I have committed infinite sins . Ya Rab you are my only master and most just of all . 

Lets stand in prayers as long as we can to seek tobba and refresh our souls .

 I seek forgiveness for all Muslimieen from starting of this world and till now. and peace for myself , muslim ummah , people in  continuous war. 

Unsure if we get chance to fast next year ramdan. 

Cry as mush as you want as these tears will water the seeds of future happiness.

Fall in prostration and crush your fears and ask Allah ta’la for knowledge for self benefit and others benefits and inner peace and refuge from Allah against zilat of this world and here after and astaghfar from azab al qabr and nar al jahanam , 

May Allah give me and all hidayah (Guidance to straight path of Islam). 

Love all no matter what and its your duty to guide as much as we can no matter how big sinner we are now maybe this will lead us to jannah (Paradise)

Ramadan is here

Ramadan is quiet- tense even. I live in a house full of Christians. Iftar is uneventful, taraweeh is lonely. I never hear the azan unless it’s from my phone and I miss it. I miss living across the street from a mosque, spending time with my dad reading the quran during the day, watching my mom cook in the kitchen, etc.  I miss Riyadh. I miss being around people that understand me the way people in Philly can’t. I guess I had to leave to understand what I appreciated about the M.E, but it is a struggle. I could never be ‘’fully black’’ over there- people didn’t get it. It was just me being ‘funny’ or overly political. But here no one understands how much my religion and Arabic culture is a part of me despite my Africanness. 

Arabic spills from my lips like an accident these days. My Muslim identity exists in a cloud that I cannot quite touch. This is my third Ramadan in the states and it is still a strange experience.
