Personality: clean, helpful, friendly, hardoworking, pushy, stubborn,
Likes: cleaning, helping others, eating parasites, exploring,
Dislikes: not being able to reach parasites, botties that won't let them help, hosts that won't let them help others,
Compatibility: They need at least 2 or 3 other mer bitties in the tank with them to be happy!
They can attach to pretty much any bitty or person! it isnt painful to be suckered to,
They are much more likely to wander away from their host, as long as they are within eyesight,
Will even try to catch small meals for their host if in range, or collect sea weed!
They also are perfect for bitties that have trouble moving about, very good at controlling their speed, they help those bitties move about and/or leave to collect items for the host and bring it back,
They don't like hurting other bitties, but are vicious to any parasites, and if they see one while they are eating food scraps they will stop to go after parasites!
They will also leave their host if they see some on the ground or on other bitties and clean them as well! but will always return to their host when done,
Some people buy these Remora if they have a parasite outbreak in their tanks!
They are very devoted to helping those they care about, and while they are able to bond with multiple bitties, if one is injured they will be seen around that one the most!
While they can wander away from their host, if you completely serperate them from eyesight of their host or another bitty they know, they will start racing about in worry, a way to help with this is to get them a toy to play with which will keep them calm for longer!
Despite being very popular, they also have a higher chance of getting returned after parasite outbreaks have gotten under control, to keep these bitties from being sad, the shop has certain Remor trained specifically to handle parasite outbreaks, and are expected to be returned and take pride in their job instead of being sad. A few get adopted here and there afterwards however, but that's a plus!
They will leave a host if they don't let's them help others with a parasite!
Feeding habits: Remora bitties are carnivores, though can eat other things as they are made of magic!
They eat parasites and even dead skin off of other bitties or fish,
Additional info: All remora bitties need their tails to be hydrated though can be out of water for short periods of time, but its recommended to let them stay in water for as long as possible when transporting,
Remora bitties are salt water! and can become bloated and ill if in fresh water for to long! though fresh water baths can help kill off salt water parasites,
In Universe: They are seen as perfect for parasite control!
