Ramayan – Ram Yug Is The Next Movie By Kunal Kohli
Yes, Kunal Kohli will return to the director’s chair once again. An announcement has been made by Kunal already about his next directional venture. The movie has been titled Ram Yug. It is quite apparently an adaptation of epic Ramayana. A picture has been shared by Kunal Kohli through his Twitter account. It looks like a poster of the movie. Releasing the picture on social media, the director has written “#RamYug my next film. Need your Love, blessings & support.” Kunal Kohli is mostly known for his romantic movies. So, we may able to see something new from the director with this epic period drama.
During an interview, director Kunal Kohli has revealed “I think there is nothing more historic, progressive and modern than Ramayana. We think we are very modern and progressive because of the language we use and see in the films, but the thoughts and your way of life can never be outdated. They will always be modern.”
Kunal has announced about the movie. However, casting of the movie has not been decided yet. So, we are really eager who will be roped as the lead for the movie.
Kamlesh Yadav is the writer of this movie who has written movies like Chaalbaaz , Tezaab and Rang De Basanti in the past. Regarding Ram Yug, screen writer Kamlesh Yadav has said “I have always been waiting and wanting to write Ramayana. Writing this story is a challenge because everyone knows the story and the characters. In our country, history wasn’t recorded at the time and people still think it is mythology and not true, but it is our history.”
Shooting of the movie may be started from later part of year.
