We start the horse gene early in our family… :)
Dixie did so well last night! I rode and did some ground work for about half an hour. Then mom put a lead rope on and dropped my cousins in front of me. Eventually I hopped down and they each got to ride “by themselves”. We had lots of instruction about how you have to be quiet and calm around the horses, etc. These kids don’t have a lot of stability in their lives, hopefully horses can be a grounding force for them as they are for me.
