I know this is an emotional end of an era (this has been The Infinity Saga, according to Feige) but this is NOT the end of the MCU. Not by any means. We said goodbye or at least "see ya later" to some beloved characters but there is a new era coming. Feige said Captain Marvel is taking the lead now, which makes sense because she does so in the comics. (Plus she is the most powerful and experienced in leading.) And the way they had her standing up top and centered in the continuous shot of everyone at Tony's funeral is meant to indicate that. Then you have everyone else standing there, some who are clearly retiring and then the newbies who are meant to be part of the new Avengers. Peter, Shuri, T'challa, Wanda, etc. There are the confirmed Guardians, Black Panther, and Doctor Strange sequels, though we don't know much yet and Marvel is waiting a bit to announce their plans for the next phase. So yeah, it's sad. But we will see our new generation rise and it will be glorious. And with the acquisition of Fox, who knows what we will get? I choose to be optimistic.
