Hey Randol

I was going through my tumblr followers and saw that you were still following me on here. I swore that you unfollowed me. Anyway, I don't know if you've actually looked at any of my posts the past eight months. I've gone through a lot and I'm sure you have, too. It was a bummer how things ended, but I hope you've been well. It took me a long while for the pain to ease and I'm mostly over it, but I still think about it from time to time. If for whatever reason you need me, you can always message me and I'll be there for you as a friend.

Dreams Imitate Art

I was watching the new episode of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” yesterday (SPOILER ALERT) 

and the ending made me happy since I’ve shipped Rebecca with Greg for most of my time watching the show. Rebecca is going on a final date with Greg, Josh, and Nathaniel to see which one she wants to be with. Josh and Nathaniel put in a lot of work and the dates they planned were pretty romantic. And then there’s Greg. Greg has never been one to make a big romantic gesture. Throughout the episode, he’s trying his best to be romantic so he can have a fighting chance with Josh and Nathaniel, even though it’s not him.

Toward the end of the episode, Rebecca is about to cancel her date with Greg, but runs into him as his crappy car broke down. They spend the evening at the mechanics and order delivery since it’ll be a few hours until the car is fixed. While Josh and Nathaniel were giving their all for one date, Greg was just himself and I think Rebecca realized that them spending time together while running an errand was a realistic look into spending time with someone. While the romantic dates were nice, those won’t happen all the time. Most of the time when you’re dating someone, you’ll be doing ordinary things, like waiting for a car to get fixed. These things aren’t exciting, but with the right person, you’ll be happy just to be with them. That’s what I saw with this episode and why I think Rebecca will choose Greg.

Anyway, last night I had a dream about my ex where we were on a late-night errand run going to various stores. There wasn’t a lot to it. The dream seemed pretty realistic since all we did was drive around and go to places in what seemed to be in real time. We didn’t kiss or really hold hands. We were just running errands and even though it was just a dream, dream me was very happy to do that. I miss my ex, which is normal. When we dated and would see each other, a lot of the time we just hung around or went somewhere to get food. Nothing fancy, but I liked spending time with her. I think I had this dream because I had the episode of “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” in my subconscious. I really want to ask her how she’s been doing and see if she’s gotten better since we last saw each other, but I know she needs me to leave her alone. I’ve bothered her a few times in an attempt to check in and I’m sure she’s annoyed with me. I wish we could talk again. She was a good friend and I miss sharing things with her and trying to make her laugh.
