That trans-spectrum artist feeling of wanting to change your name before you network for business, but also not wanting to confuse everyone who already knows you.
I was so happy was that Ralph Breaks the Internet didn't have jokes generalising young generations or "lol social media is ruining human relationships." It would have been so easy to include punchlines about "haha vain kids with social media addiction, look at them texting on the couch and using emojis" and it didn't, BLESS.
Corporate kids-movie jokes about kids and addiction to social media and "people who post selfies and pet photos are stupid" are so. fucking. TIRED. Ralph Breaks the Internet was very surprisingly a breath of fresh air in that regard, about friendship and how the internet is complex and can be both positive and negative.
When movies go out of their way to be like "what is this...app thing? People post pictures of themselves and their pets and food here? What kind of losers do that pointless vain thing HAHA" it's so lazy and not a clever commentary on anything. Let people enjoy themselves SHEESH.
