It has come to my attention that there is a reoccurring issue where a god of two faces, one always lying and one always tells the truth and you can not tell which is which. I have decided to share my strategy for these situations. First, the moral categories of judgements i find works best to use in order to not offend the being(s)
If the being has one body, one head, and two faces, then both faces are the same being and that being is lying. It has one head, so one brain, and therefore one being. so it is a being of whatever gender or chosen grammatical referencing of its choosing.
If the being has one body, two heads, and one face per head, thus making it two faces, then the two heads are connected to one body, and without the body, and therefore would have to have 2 concious' and therefore would be referred to in the plural form, in english this form would be the word "you" with plural conotatikns or an equaivalant word or gramatical reference.
If it is has two body's, two heads, and one face per head, making two faces, then it is best to refer to it as two seperate beings unless told otherwise, however, grammatically, it is best to refer to the two beings in plural form, either the plural you or grammatical equivilant, or in the form of they or a grammatically related equivalents.
Now for the actual strategy. I will show this in the form of a script and/or written testament. However there are a few things to choose first. Number one, choose an item, whether an object you carry, an article of clothing, footwear, or excessory, or even a object in your surroundings such as a rock. Number 2, choose which you will address, I find that these types of beings or symbiotically related beings often get tired of being looked between, choose one to address first and stick with that one unless you find yourself with one part of the being(s) upset over this. I will show you now.
*approach the being(s) and determine the correct grammatic referral category. Mentally choose a part to approach first, remember to speak clearly, annunciate properly, and to act confident, whether you are or aren't afraid does not matter, simply act as if this is a normal day.*
*approach in a way that makes the chosen part the clear option to address. If you are addressed by the other part you will then know that that part speaks for the whole, and can easily shift gears. If the part you approached speaks then introduce yourself and ask for their name, I will now show you the ways this can go, C represents you, P1 represents the part you approached, P2 represents the other part:*
C: Hello, my name is [insert name here]. What's your name?
P1: I am [name] (and this is [name])
*quick note, if they give one name you can easily infer that the two parts act as one, if given two names it is best to treat them as speerate beings whether the body fits it or not.*
C: It's nice to meet you [name] (and [name]), how are you (two) doing?
P1: [answer]

C: Hello, my name is [insert name here].
P2: Hello, my name is [name] (and this is [name])
C: Hello [name] (and [name]), it's nice to meet you, how are you (both) doing?
P2: [answer]
*Now the next step is the introduction, this usually is the part where they tell you one lies and kne tells the truth. This is when you will decide upon your item, and follow these instructions:*
*remove chosen item from its original spot and hold it in your hand so the being(s) can easily see it. Next follow this guidline:*
C: [call to attention] [describe the item and identify the type of object it is] [give item a name] [move item to be out of your possesion] [ask question]
*for me this usually looks like this*
- remove jacket,because i always wear a jacket of some sort
- "if you would give me your attention for a moment i wont take too long. This is my jacket, [possessive article] is [description of jacket, including color, type, size, and pattern description if there is a pattern], [possessive article] name is [insert name, im personally partial to susan, Bob, or jamie], [possessive article] likes to be referred to in the [name for the chosen possessive article of the item]"
- place jacket to the side of me about a foot away, turn to whichever part is chosen.
- "[name of part], am I holding [name of item]?"
*now if they answer yes you can safely say that this one lies, if they say no you can safely say this one tells the truth, and now you know who to direct the question concerning where to go too to get the right answer.*
