The first time Dany truly wanted to head to Westeros to take the Iron Throne was after the wineseller incident, when she and more importantly, her child was threatened. She didn’t want to get the Iron Throne to restore her family’s glory, but because she wanted to protect the family/home she has. For her --> take the Iron Throne = no more threats, no more assassination attempts, no more living in fear. She never really saw Iron Throne as the end game, but a means to finally have her peace of mind, to live a simple life.

i completely forgot that daario naharis is a tyroshi which practically explains so much why dany is so attracted to this guy aside from..you know..the other stuff. he reminds her of home!
