i wouldn't say healthy per say. i think the time in which they met and grew closer can't be isolated from the fact that c!tubbo was under immense pressure as president, feared for his country almost every day, was manipulated into believing his best friend - the best friend he'd been forced to exile because it was either him or everyone else in the country, and c!tubbo had to make the right choice - was angry at him to the point of not wanting to see him. c!ranboo as a character was also very lost at this time, not knowing who he was, forgetting a lot and remembering little, and that also can't be removed from the context of when they grew closer.
i think they were golden for a while, in that they were what each other needed, an anchor in a world moving too fast for them to keep up. but golden things fade, and they faded very quickly when the world needed them to make even harder decisions. i think they grew close, but when it came down to it, they became little more than strangers who found what they needed in each other at the time.
