Right, now then, onto the story!

I tried something new this week: I rolled a bunch of dice with pictures on them. Then I sat down and wrote a short story entirely inspired/based around those pictures. 

And since I like how it turned out, I think I'm going to do one of these per month. Going forward, this series will be available to all Patrons, but I'm leaving this one set to public so everyone can see how it works.

It's that time again! Time once again for me to throw some dice and make up a story out of them! Or at least, make up a very short fairy tale out of them that I will have to go back and flesh out at some point when I'm not recovering from a weekend game convention!

This month's random story elements include aliens, fairies, flutes, and some very earnest children.

My long-suffering editor @rivendellrose​ is Really Quite Eager for me to actually flesh this one out and finish it properly, so look out for this story again in future, in some more complete form.

Last weekend, whilst preparing for Easter festivities, I injured myself making pierogies.

I wish I was kidding, but I've got long-standing tendinitis in both wrists and a mysterious old injury to some metacarpals, and the act of rolling, filling, folding and pinching three dozen tiny Polish dumplings was apparently Just Too Much.

They were delicious, though.

So now both of my hands are in braces, typing's a bitch, and I have no completed draft for you.

But! I do have a completed outline of this week's story, so unfortunately, that'll have to do for now.

I'll finish it someday. Maybe it'll be in my next book!
