In 1908, John Baxter Taylor, Jr. became the first African American to represent the United States in an international competition, when he became a member of the 400m relay team at the Olympics in London. Following the race, he also became the first African American to win a gold medal at the Olympics.

get to know me !

hey all! i’m still getting the hang of this so bear with me :)) 

this blog isn’t going to have a clear purpose for a while but it’ll reflect the comings and goings of my life. some studyspo, some photos, some advice, and just general happenings. i’m open to suggestions too! 

so, basics about me: 

- i’m a high school sophomore in the US! 

- i’m a cellist and would LOVE to talk music w anyone interested 

- i’m in love with coffee

- i love to dance kizomba (if you don’t know what that is, google it!) 

- i’m an (extremely chill) horseback rider. it’s expensive though and i work 3 jobs to pay for it

classes i’m taking:

- algebra II 

- french III

- orchestra 

- music theory (online)
