Yesterday (Valentine's Day) sucked. It was the worst I've had in years. My boyfriend was sick and we didn't do anything. So he said he'd make it up to me today at Disneyland. Well he was still sick today but me and his daughter (she's 4) still wanted to go. So I took her, met up with some friends and made it a girls day. We had such a good day. I'm so glad I go to spend time with just her. She also said I love you to me. That made me feel so happy! It was such a great day!

my sleeping habits are out of control
For the past couple months I have only been able to look at Tumblr on my phone when I was connected to WiFi. That meant that it was pretty much only at home. Well today I was able to (finally) sign back on on my computer! This means good-bye productive studying, hello mass amounts of posting!
I've just listened to my first song from Björk's latest album "Vulnicura" and I feel... so sad. It was "Stonemilker".
It's kinda hard to explain. But, even if you didn't understand the lyrics, you could feel it in her voice: the sheer sadness.
What I had read about how Björk poured her heart out in this album, letting her emotions go wild and express themselves in the most clear and unpredecented ways does make a lot of sense now
You can see her touch, her "Björk stamp" is definitely there. But there's an unusual openness and vulnerability to this song (and to this whole album I suppose), that becomes really evident and it's hard not to connect with that mood when you're listening, it just hits you.
I wasn't expecting anything in particular before listening to "Stonemilker", though I had that idea that Björk was in a very harsh emotional moment when she made this album and that she let it show in the songs. And it's exactly that. And it's so, so beautiful, and yet so heartbreakingly sad.
Who is open-chested? And who has coagulated? Who can share? And who has shut down the chances?
