do you have any headcanond for Mindgames? Id love to hear them
YES thank you for this ask and I have so many thoughts, this will be a bit of a ramble and I apologize if this is a lot but I've been spinning these two in my brain like a microwave for the past week. A lot of my current thoughts relate to Miss Gracie but I have a lot to say in terms of my thoughts on how she would act when interacting with Stella. I'll try to do bullet points so they are easier to read and not just a giant wall of text.
Whatever these to have going on is probably unhealthy for a start. Not like direct harm for either of them but I think they would disagree on enough things to where there would be days that the wonder if they really can coexist, same with the fact that I think they would be bending their own boundaries a lot (I will get into this in some of the other points)
relevant for later points but I fully believe Miss Gracie worked there since before the BBI but just as a behavior counselor for the particularly trouble kids (also headcanon that she herself would have been considered "troubled" when she was younger) but this is how I think they would have met (Miss Gracie handling the kids the higherups think Stella couldn't)
also relevant to later points I fully think Miss Gracie has an ego when it comes to her work specifically (as in people questioning her work or being dismissive of it would be enough for her to hold a grudge)
Stella was definitely the one to initiate the first conversations. I don't think Miss Gracie would want to interact with others unless necessary, it's most definitely fake cheerfulness and that takes a lot of energy. At first I think Miss Gracie wouldn't like it but at a certain point she would realize Stella isn't doing it to fake being nice (I hope what I meant is actually getting across with this one I can't really figure out the proper wording)
Building onto that last point I think Miss Gracie distrusts just about everyone while Stella tries to believe the best (so very pessimistic vs. very optimistic)
Stella would be the one who tries to get her to talk with the other employees and just in general being the one that inadvertently helps her get up in the company enough to have her ideas taken more seriously (I think this might need it's own post because I have a lot of thoughts on the earlier days at playtime co./before the BBI)
After the start of the BBI and Miss Gracie actually proposing the ideas for conditioning I think they would drift apart a bit, but I think Stella would still believe Miss Gracie is doing it for the greater good (Sort of like how she feels about her own role in the BBI)
I think they would both dislike Doctor Sawyer for entirely different reasons in Stella's case it's her fully hating what he does/BBI and in Miss Gracie's case it's him being dismissive/thinking he knows better in regards to the conditioning
Onto what I was talking about with the whole "boundaries will be bent" thing, Stella seems to hate everything about the BBI except the fact that the tech could possibly be used to actually help in the future but I think she would sort of just accept Miss Gracie's role in things. Don't get me wrong she hates the kids losing who they are and being fully convinced into thinking they're toys but I think it would be more of accepting it as "well if she didn't somebody else would be hired for this" and again I think Stella genuinely would believe Miss Gracie is in it for the greater good.
These are rather surface level unfortunately but I want to think about the others before I post them but I have so many more thoughts. This post is getting long but I can guarantee I will be elaborating on things later. Again I hope I worded these well but I will absolutely answer any questions if anyone wants to know more. Sorry if there are a lot of tangents I really wanted to talk about these two though.
