#Blog Post: Prime Mail Time 📦 ° Lately, the camera has been put through the ringer - From being in the wilderness to getting halfway soaked & fogged up from shooting in stormy weather. As a result, I have noticed that recent footage from the camera has these dark spots showing up. Even though I'm usually careful when switching lenses, I guess it is inevitable getting spots/lint/etc onto the lens & sensor. So with that, (& also to make use of my week long Amazon Prime trial) I invested in a lens & sensor cleaning kit. Personally, I would rather have Jessops or another reputable camera store clean it for me so I don't make a blunder but the prices are way too extortionate in comparison & also not having my camera for a few days could be detrimental. Among the other goodies in today's mail included another microSD card as one can never have too many... (Especially when certain people refuse to return or replace memory cards you lent them!) & another set of batteries for the Eken H8. * {👊🏾Shout out to eBay seller "salt1marsh" for the generous inclusion of the camera housing.} * - (I had lost mine last Saturday at Epping tube station after the #RandomStroll along with the cheap 4k cam & Toshiba memory card inside with half of the footage 😥) . #Blog Post: The Gift of Giving 📤 ° Yesterday, aside from it being rip-roaringly hot was spent taking photos for a client followed by a #RandomStroll over by Southbank. Whilst I walked around, I saw this spot which I thought would be fitting to capture a time-lapse (a skill that I haven't done much of which I am trying out) & posted up to record the footage after walking through a sea of people. While being zoned out with my earphones in, a random stranger came up to me and said "Excuse me... I made this painting for you" & quickly walked away with her friend looking quite embarrassed... 💨 🤔 Obviously confused, I looked around to see if there were any cameras pointing at me & then questioned what was depicted on this scroll wrapped with a pink hair band... Thinking it's a prank or something strange. 😐 Apparently, it was this picture. ⬆️ Now, I don't know what the real reasons were as I don't think I was sitting down that long for someone to whip up a painting like this, even though it was still a bit wet when unrolled... And I don't know if it was intended for/or stolen from someone else but I appreciate the gesture especially as I like art. Unfortunately, I didn’t catch her/their names as they didn't stick around at all or come back over when I tried waving to them but whoever this is by; Thank you for the painting! 🙏🏽 I will cherish it & put it in my Photographer's path journal 😉👍🏽 .
