Shizuka — a ninja from the 70s or 80s.
At school, she was always a straight-A student and strove to be the best. Not because she loved to show off — her parents were strict, and she just wanted to hear “well done” from them at least once.
She’s smart and responsible, but sometimes a bit too confident. She can be sharp-tongued and loves to compete, especially if someone tries to outshine her. Because of that, some think she’s a snob, though in reality she’s just used to constantly proving herself.
Shizuka was popular, but she hardly had any real friends — mostly people who wanted to hang out with the “perfect student.” It bothered her, though she pretended not to notice.
When Shizuka became a ninja, at first she didn’t want to do it — too much responsibility. But she couldn’t just ignore it, so she quickly got used to it. In battle, her true nature came out: a bit rebellious and sarcastic. She enjoys teasing villains and loves defeating them.
Sometimes she goes overboard with her confidence, but she stays clever and quick-thinking. Her emotions are more complicated — especially when it comes to one girl she likes. Over time, Shizuka becomes softer and learns to be herself rather than the “perfect” version of who she’s expected to be.
Kimberly — Shizuka’s classmate.
She doesn’t do well in school and is known as a rebel no one really wants to hang out with. Because of her tomboyish nature, Kimberly seems cold and brash, so many see her as a troublemaker best avoided. But once you get to know her, it’s clear she’s nothing like that. Kimberly is kind, fair, and can’t stand seeing others being bullied. She’s always the first to step up — even if it means getting in trouble or taking a hit.
Kimberly thinks Shizuka is a snob — after all, she (or rather, her “friends”) often mocks others. There’s constant rivalry between them, almost since the first grade. Both are stubborn, both hate losing, and though neither will admit it — deep down, they respect each other.
At home, Kimberly has a younger sister who’s a huge ninja fan. Kimberly teases her about it, but secretly admires how ninjas protect people. She doesn’t dream of becoming one herself — but respects their strength, honor, and bravery.
Studying is hard for her — she hates sitting over boring textbooks, but she can spend hours reading adventure novels, action stories, and fantasy. In books, she seeks what’s missing in her own world — freedom and justice.
Kimberly loves rock music.
Her favorite band is “Shadow and Flame.”
Romantically, Kimberly is caring and attentive toward her partner. She’ll do anything to make them happy. However, she’s very easy to fluster — just a light kiss or a bit of flirting is enough. In those moments, she tries to act like it didn’t affect her at all, but her face immediately turns bright red, and she hides it so no one will notice.
