Randy flinched at sudden jump scare that appeared on his television. It was a movie he had seen dozens of times, possibly even hundred. However, the news of his classmate (and friend's ex-girl) being slaughtered the night before definitely made the viewing experience different. It didn't help that his parents were away on business. He wouldn't openly admit he was scared of the possibility of a maniac lurking the streets of Woodsboro, but he was really glad when Deimos accepted his offer to stay over for the week.
He waited in the living room, his collection of horror movies sprawled across the floor in front of the tv. He reclined against the couch as the jitters from the scare subsided. Deimos was supposed to have been there over twenty minutes, and while he usually would have just shrugged it off with a slight annoyance his paranoia slowly started to get the best of him. The cops assured everyone it was an isolated situation, but he saw more than enough movies to know better. He only hoped he was just overthinking.
The sound of the doorbell made him jump out of his seat. Once the noise actually registered, a feeling of relief washed over him. Nearly slipping on the wood floor as he jogged towards the front door. He opened it wide, eyeing the male on the other side while he caught his breathe. "Took you long enough. Popcorn's in the living room." He greeted with a grin, stepping enough out of the way for the other to get inside.
