the fanfiction where randy gets put on death row by my good buddies fig and ollie is one of the single best fanworks ive ever had the pleasure of reading and i'm so SO proud of them for getting to the end of it. if you haven't checked it out, i absolutely implore you to do so. please read it. for the love of god

the idea of "randy.mov ghosts that look like their mangled corpses" is a concept ive wanted to play with for AGEEEEEEEEEEEEEES heavily inspired by jack from an american werewolf in london- where the main character turns into a werewolf and kills his friend, so jack's ghost is this mangled corpse that continues to decay and rot over the course of the movie as he haunts his friend-murderer.

i love drawing Phone Gore and i wanted to play with that whole concept- especially with the knife-headed guy having been dismembered postmortem. the below image is one i've had in mind for AGES, like, well before ch10 (where oliver died) was even published (we all knew oliver was gonna get hammurdered from the getgo, yeah?).

but upon actually drawing it out...ehhh? like, i like what i did here with the phone gore, and i think randy & oliver look cool, but the composition is REALLY flat and it just doesn't have a good impact, and gingi felt rather tacked-on. just didn't come out right. i might re-use just the oliver and randy from this one in their own image at some point.

PLUS after chapter 13 came out i don't think having a lineup of randy's victims feels complete without karen. so i reworked it, with the ghosts as an optional component sort of. they're dead as fuck they're not affecting anything, that's allllll karen. that's why oliver's just sort of got a supportive hand on her shoulder. oliver knows his way around ghosts he knows what's up while the other three are more..vengeful but they're not accomplishing anything. oliver's here for karen not for randy

If we dedicated ANOTHER broadcast to martyring the most OBNOXIOUS ASSHOLE on earth just to FUCK with RANDY.’ “

I Loooove the finale, it's so peakazoid!! It's such a good Epilogue/conclusion to wrap it back to something deliciously fluffy after everything while still having the previous stuff matter, even if theoretically it was all 'just a dream' from anyone else's perspective.
