You messed up.
You messed up big time and Ranpo will never let you hear the end of it.
You see, Ranpo and Atsushi head out to investigate a crime scene today and you were left alone to receive complaints and work from the clients since the other members are also gone. With having nothing to do yet, you decided to clean the office.
That's where the problem started.
You shouldn't have. Because now, there's a pool of soft drinks dripping all over Ranpo's place, damping the other cartons of sweets the detective had stock on his table. Unfortunately, you're salary is still days to go and you have no extra money to replace the wet treats.
"Ughh he's going to kill me."
You remembered that time when Tanizaki tripped and fall on his snacks, Ranpo almost strangled him to death and only stopped when the president told him to.
And with your low to none luck, the President's out for a meeting overseas.
Your trail of thoughts was halted when you heard Atsushi's voice filling the empty room. The black haired detective trailing behind him.
"We're back [Y/N]-cha—" the younger boy's words were interrupted buy Ranpo's cries when he spotted the murder pf his beloved treats.
"Ra—Ranpo-san, I'm sorry. I'm soo sorry I accidentally knocked your soft drinks while cleaning I didn't mean it I really di—"
" It's you?"
Ranpo looked at you cutely, eyes gleaming with, mischief? You aren't sure.
"Ye—yes"
"You have to pay for this."
"I understand. I'm sorry" you muttered, head hanging low because of the guilt, thinking that at least he didn't strangle you.
"How much is it Ranpo-san?"
"Ahh but I don't need money." He said before swiftly pecking you on the lips.
"Now that's sweeter than the donuts you drown in soft drinks, I expect to have that everyday until you're fully payed"
He smiled at you with closed eyes, running into the closest sweetshop soon after.
"Wha— what was that?" You turned around, locking eyes with an astounded Atsushi, who also not believing what he witnessed.
"Ranpo-san kissed you"
"Yeah, he kissed me"
"Ranpo-san said you're sweeter than donuts"
"Yeah, he said that"
" I think he likes you... "
" Whyy? "
" Because... Because you're sweeter than donuts? "
