And once again the third mission was like the Glint's lair one in the last episode, though nowhere near as clever or lengthy, the difficulty again lay in mechanics and not sheer overwhelming force. For some reason I did not die even once, even though there were plenty of opportunities to do so. I guess this is gonna be a pattern now with the episodes? One mission which is a goddamn ragefest and should only be attempted in a group or with a tank char unless you like cheap deaths, and another mission which provides appropriate challenge regardless of group number or class as compensation?
Btw I'm not talking about the teragriff fight in the first one, that also relied mostly on mechanics; I died once, but only because I'd failed to dodge. I'm talking about the thrasher and the fucking pull-stun tendrils which are an annoyance at most for tougher classes but absolutely deadly for an ele trying to solo the mission. One might say I'm being whiny, but I really don't like being forced to watch from a distance (and basically exploit) as Caithe and Rox take down the damn things because it's just plain suicide to even approach (because sure as hell when I try, the mobs will instantly ignore both NPCs happily hacking away at them and concentrate on me when I haven't even attacked yet). I'm not playing to have unkillable bots do my work.
