This chick took advantage of a couple of kids I know by selling them a puppy - a husky cross. She claimed it was 4 weeks old when she gave it to them, and told them it was fine to go because it had been weaned for a week already. These kids obv didnt do enough research, but they trusted this lady, and were excited and in love with the puppy. This woman took advantage of their naivety and trust. I say kids, theyre in their late teens/early 20s but have been very sheltered.
When they took it to the vet & discussed its health & behavioural difficulties, the vet said it was closer to 3 weeks old when it was given to them, & is not healthy.
They made the decision to give it to an experienced foster carer so it can be properly looked after & rehomed to someone who can give it the care it needs.
Now the breeder is on social media claiming that her photos and videos prove the puppy was healthy before it left her, so these kids must have abused it. This because she was visited by animal control after the vets saw the puppy and the condition it was in. She wants the puppy back. She is insisting that it was 4 weeks when she sold it.
1) She did not do the work needed to determine that these kids were prepared for a puppy, let alone a huskyX, let alone one with special needs and very young.
2) She did not have any type of contract, so is not at all entitled to claim the dog back.
3) Even if she's being honest about the dogs age, puppies legally need to be 8 weeks before rehoming here.
4) Photos and videos don't mean shit if they're not supported by actual health checks. If you didnt have a vet check before selling the puppy you can't claim without doubt that it was healthy.
