If were calling shit out within the toon fandom suddenly for no reason
I hate the bunny kids.
Geniuenly i don't understand why some people act like there one of oswalds most important aspects and relationships, i don't get why everyone got this almost obsessive need to shove them everywhere especialy since in the og shorts he obviousky hates them and in epic mickey he coudn't give less of a fuck abt them, the only moment he kinda talks to any of them is in the weirdly burried tales of wasteland comics and even then it's so minor
I even get the want to rewrite them but in half the things there still nothing but props for him to hold and like at this point you could replace them with a wrench and nothing would change, plus I will say this you could cut them out of practicly anything outside "poor papa" (witch wasn't even liked by anyone when it came out) and you'd have the exact same oswald Hell even somewhat better oswald because the implied neglect woudn't be there
"Why do they keep not including the bunny kids" Why the fuck should they??
Ironicly i think the villian that showcases how incompetent the disney corporation is with mickeys franchise isn't drusilla or the blot or any other held back villian but pete, the most known and used mickey villian himself
There is many factories to that but one that has been bugging me the most is the fact pete is a cat and it not only is put into his design so poorly many people dont register it but how little it effects his relationship with mickey, shoudn't there be some implications with it? Some symbolism? Visual language? Any commentary? A cat as a hunter is most well known for hunting down mice and eating them even if you don't want any commentary paired with it i think it should be brought more light, mickey rarely is afraid of pete on his own but woudn't it be more interesting if he instinctingly were afraid of him?
Of his sharp claws, of his pointy teeth, of his terrefyingly working pupils, of his tail waggling behind him, that is if he had any of those.
Ironicly the most animal symbolism i've seen with mickey is in mmmm with gloria Gump and there that representation wasn't even done with mammals or touched up on mickey being a mouse the most pray of pray animals and instead uses visual language representing him as a small fish and gloria as a hungry giant fish (and while in context of mmmm I think it's interesting with mickeys whole drowning deal heing brought up and all but my point still stands)
That and the fact pete has more of a relationship with goofy than mickey humself but im gonna have a brain bleed if i start talking about it

Tone has an old man soul, he changed a lot since ep 1 and ep 6 (yes in my head there is a timeline) in basically a "I used to drink tea now it's all coffe" kinda way.
Here's some of my hcs of him
- He really really doesn't like change, like, at all. Tony has a VERY precise routine to follow EVERY DAY. He knows at which hour Larry walks trough the halls, what's the range of time everyone in the house wakes up, he knows the minute and second in which Colin starts whistling which room which tune. His inner timer is always ticking
- following the previous hc the only reason why he didn't went "ugh you're not gonna be allowed in the same room as me" with Sketchbook when they first meet was because they were so damn unpredictable. Every teacher has some unconscious routine in their brain but she just. Doesn't. It was only when the clock began to notice he couldn't predict hell about him that he began to follow them around (until it became a routine to keep an eye on her)
- good leader (sometimes)
- has some sort of necessity to know what's happening to everyone all the time. He couldn't care less abt their lives but like. Where they at.
- deep down he still has that "gentleman" charm he was made with. it's just he's naturally serious and tired-looking with the people he doesn't like (aka everyone). If you manage to not irritate him, he can turn into a cutie potatoe (maybe??)
- Tony on his PEAK sounds like this (better tomorrows from pinocchio if u don't wanna click the link)
- out of everyone he stands Shrignold the least
- out of everyone he takes the most to tell people his name (gotta ask if you want me to elaborate)
- silly father daughter dynamic w spinach can
- "back in my days..", "Listen up young man/lady"
- he has the most common sense in the house also. Constantly has to plea for people to not kill themselves in a stupid way. the others take it in a "damn he is so grumpy and scold us for nothing" kinda way
- everytime someone new appears he is immediately weary. Especially the newer teachers, you can kinda see that in the cube comic
Honestly like Josie's speech was good and made me feel emotional but also it just feels hollow thinking back on it because everyone deserves someone to stay, but it's also very reasonable of Finch to not want to stay with someone she's falling for when she knows that person has a 50/50 chance of dying. And her asking Josie to promise she'd try to win was messed up, but it's also makes sense. Finch's actions aren't great and it sucks that they hurt Josie and also that she basically asked Josie to kill Lizzie if it came down to it, but she's just worried about someone she loves potentially dying. She clearly has trauma surrounding losing people she loves and she's reacting in a way that makes sense knowing that. She doesn't want to get closer to Josie if she knows Josie will probably die and it sucks for Josie but Finch isn't the bad guy here. No one is. They're just teenagers struggling with problems they shouldn't have to and no one is at fault.
If i see one more "Gen alpha is DOOMED! they cant READ" video on my feed with a commentary youtuber doing the stupid Kevin Home alone face at a bunch of clearly edited in quotes like "i dont know what a pencil is!! 6 7 is the only thing i can write!"
I AM GOING TO DO SOMETHING ATROCIOUS. MARK MY WORDS.
I've never before so desperately wanted to claw out my eyes and burn them than I did after watching the new Shrek 5 teaser
I'm not even that attached to Shrek and I hate it. Why does the animation look like Ice Age and the Despicable Me franchise had an unholy baby together, and more importantly, why are they trying so desperately to cling onto meme culture that's not even that popular anymore??
Man, I miss 2022 when PIB:TLW came out and I had hope for DreamWorks as a studio...
I want to make a one hour analysis video about 2012 Slash/Spike and how he was the most butchered side character in the whole show (I say side character bc April had it worse) and how Slash and Destroy is hands down one of my favorite episodes because of how well it introduces him as a villain yet the writers dropped the ball on his redemption arc so hard it left a crater in the earth and what made him so interesting and morally conflicting for Raph...
I’m really scared to mischaracterize characters when I share my thoughts on them. I take a lot of time to think about my personal opinion on something and think back to how they are portrayed in their original media. I don’t want to interpret them in the wrong way, especially if it’s my favorite character. Thats why I don’t really share my personal character analyses unless I’m 100% sure I’m not misinterpreting anything.
I have a lot of things to say about Caine and how people write him in AUs that take place after episode 8, but again, I’m scared that I’m wrong about him.
