they had made it back into town sometime tuesday afternoon, an hour long drive she found herself not ready to make just yet. the dragon had enjoyed their time away, out - far from the lights of evergreen. from the noise. from the pollution of the air. the people. it was quiet and untouched ( mostly ). it was a freedom that even she had to wash away once they got back to the house. but she doddled, they doddled, really. took their time unwinding back before they were winding through the halls of the Cavae once more. her steps were different, the entire purpose was different, but it wasn’t something she expected him to pick up on. hoped he didn’t pick up on. there was an excitement about her, an eagerness as she moved for her office.
there was a moment when she saw his steps fumble, that habit to split ways and head back down to the cells, but ayda was quick to let out a little sound to pull his attention back to her. “With me,” she said, a slight jerk of her head before steps picked back up. “I have paperwork to fill out.” and, quite frankly, she preferred to see his face when it all finally fell into place. Office door was pushed open, jacket sliding down her arms almost instantly, tossed to the couch to her left. It was all there, ready and waiting on her desk like she had asked it to be sunday before the auction. Bits and pieces were already filled out, leaving her with just a few signatures to place. “did you enjoy your weekend?” attention came to him, briefly as she scribbled, turning another page.
