I have never experienced more agonising 50 minutes of my life than getting myself tested for #COVID19 with #RapidTestingKit at the Office. Fear of the unknown and fear of having no control over this novel virus fueled my anxiety. At 2:20pm this afternoon, I and three (3) of my officemates were called by batches to the 4th Floor, Social Hall that was converted into a makeshift testing laboratory. I brought the personal information and medical disclosure forms that I filled up earlier. My body temperature was taken as soon as I entered the lab. I took a seat; wrote 36.20 degrees on the medical form; wrote my name on the attendance sheet as testee number 1053; took note of this number as it would also be the number of my test kit; and waited for my turn for the lab attendant to get my blood sample. Seven other testees came before me so I waited on my seat for around 15 minutes. At 2:35pm, my turn finally came. The lab attendant disinfected my little finger with cotton doused with alcohol, then she pricked my finger, pinched my finger to draw blood, and got two (2) little drop samples of my blood, which she placed into two (2) separate receptacles inside the testing kit numbered 1053. Afterwhich, she dabbed the cotton with alcohol on my pricked finger and I proceeded to the waiting section of the lab. At 2:36pm, the most agonizing wait for the result began. Everyone was quiet but I kept my spirits up by remembering what my big sister Matet told me a few days before that I, by God's grace, should already claim negative result. My sense of humor and irony did not fail me too. I even managed to cracked that "this is the time to be negative" (aiming for negative result), which cracked up my seat mates. Then the numbers of the testees before me got called one by one. By 3:06pm, number 1054 was called. What? Apprehensive, I asked aloud why my number 1053 was skipped. Many negative things ran in my head. Was I being excluded, isolated, segregated, quaranteed, or what? After a pregnant 30 seconds, the lab attendant apologised to me for skipping my number. I breathed a little and entered the inner sanctum of the lab, bracing myself for the result. I sat down in front of the https://www.instagram.com/p/CCLDf_Xhbk7/?igshid=1orybrer1zb8h
