#PSA - It really does break my heart to see how backwards we have gone within 1yr. From talking with fans of all backgrounds, genders, and sexual orientations...it seems we have lost how to show respect and love to one another. We can't even show empathy nor sympathy when someone who doesn't look, believe, or love the same as another person does. We rather be right than gain an understanding. All I can say to anyone is to keep showing love in the face of hate. That doesn't mean you ignore or be quiet when you see injustice. What it means is that you listen and help others when they need you. You do not take it personal but try to gain an understanding in what they are going through. Of course it doesn't make sense to you because your not the one effected by this current administration, America's history with racism and homophobia, as well as a travel ban just because you are Muslim. You do not even know what it's like to have your country stolen from you and another one built on top and then reminded every year with a Holiday praising genocide and rape. I get it, nobody wants to deal with the past or be reminded of politics. But ironically if you are a nerd, it's in everything about our culture. Video games, comics, anime, as well as comic cons are about bringing everyone together and spotting out the injustice. You play games as characters who are fighting against corruption or are dealing with social issues. You embrace characters who represent you by breaking stereotypes and show that you can be a hero too. So to all my fellow #RapNerds out there, keep showing love when the world shows you hate. Keep being awesome and achieve greatness. And if you need to cry or log offline, do it! Always know that I kneel with you to remember those who serve but still deal with racism and homophobia and I March with you when speaking against injustice. To be a nerd means you have to be woke. You can't like X-men and not see the parallel with the civil rights movement. You can't be a Trekkie and not see what #AllLivesMatter should look like verses just saying to shut up Black and Brown people dealing with injustice. I love you all. #keepyoheadup
