Two very talented young men -Lance Martínez and Keith Kim- have been switching between each other at the #1 spot on the International Billboards since day one of their individual careers. Now there's talk of their English singles debuting at the same time. The fans are at each other's throats over this solo artist rivalry aka Pretty Girls vs. The Gold Mine. But then they meet face to face, and diss tracks aren't the only things flying off the shelves into the hands of fans. But maybe sparks as well?
This is a fairly new fic (was just published yesterday), but you guys have to read this!
It is a modern AU set in the music industry and it’s about Keith - a Korean rapper - and Lance - a Latin American singer. They’re both famous in their own circles and their English single debut being released at around the same time is the premise for their rivalry.
But guys, all that set aside, the way this was written is inspiring to me. Barring the fact it has Korean text in it to depict the conversation spoken between two people, they actually wrote an original Spanish song for Lance. Like guys, the dedication for this fic is really warming me and it’s just well, as stated before, inspiring.
Write what you want and have fun with it. Take the risks you want to take and be proud of yourself for taking them.
