1. My happy song is... not really a song. It's the World of Color soundtrack (?) It's just... happiness in my ears :)

3. My badass song would probably be Gives You Hell by The All-American Rejects

5. Song that makes me feel in love? ERM... I Won't Say I'm In Love from Hercules! 

7.Song that makes me jump in excitement: I Am Free by Newsboys or Seize the Day (the latter half of the song...ok, mainly the proud and defiant line)

9. A song that makes you cry: It's a tie between All-American Girl by Carrie Underwood and If I Die Young by The Band Perry

11.A song that I listened to too many times and got sick of it: DJ Got Us Falling In Love (the Sam Tsui version)

13. A song I hate: Pumped Up Kicks by Foster the People. NO. I CHANGED MY MIND. I HATE THRIFT SHOP. NO. Everyone ever plays it. On the ONLY pop music station in Colorado, they play this at least 5 times a day. I'm so past done. :)

I'm still drugged, so read at your own risk.

So I'm not sure what it says about me that I was in the area where all people getting ambulatory surgery wait and my orthopedic surgeon walks in and is fully prepared to do his fourth surgery on me for a whole five minutes before he realizes I'm there for abdominal surgery not knee surgery or ankle surgery.

Then the anesthesiologist had a heart attack because the hospital had told me not to take any meds including seizure meds after midnight last night and it was almost noon so she was all "OH HONEY BABY LET ME GIVE YOU YOUR TOPAMAX AND KEPPRA AND HAVE ATIVAN WAITING IN CASE HELL BREAKS LOSE."

The nurse was ready to do an IV and recognized me so she numbed my hand beforehand (which hurts worse than the damn IV but it's not the end of the world) and because my luck works that way, this was the one time it went in in less than five tries.

Anyway, I come out of surgery and I'm in recovery and the nurse is like "How do you feel? Are you in pain?" and I guess I told her I was fine but I wanted the Brick and some tea. 

She did not understand my desire for a brick. Foolish non Les Mis fan.

Then I spent a while being repeatedly asked if it was normal for me to be this pale. I AM NEAR ALBINO OKAY IT IS NORMAL.

PSA: The breathing thing they give you to prevent pneumonia is a torture device.

I feel somewhat vindicated because they told me it was extremely hyperactive, but when they went in, it was also really inflamed.

I put off pain meds when I got home which was a mistake.

Then I heard David Tennant's voice and sat up too fast.

I regret this action.

But overall, it hurts LESS than before surgery.

I hope I can eat again by the 23 for my birthday. That would be awesome I haven't eaten real food in months.

Religion and I have a very complicated relationship. I mean, when mom's side is Catholic and dad's side is Baptist and both sides of the family are involved in their churches, religion drama is kind of expected, especially with going to a Baptist school and then a Catholic school and listening to all of the nasty domination-elitist shit.

Then you add in the fact that I don't like to label my sexuality because I see sexuality as fluid. The fact that I support gay rights because I think that's just being a decent human being. The fact that I try to be sex positive. That I was suicidal for a long time. That being sick has given me a very Hazel Grace attitude about capital S-something. That I'm a science person, not a heart person.  So, while my anthropologist side can absolutely see the value in religion to society and while I encourage other people to be religious because it can bring good things and it can give people a purpose in life, I am not personally religious.

And that's the difference: I don't force my beliefs on anybody or insult them for their beliefs. I think it's a very personal thing that should not be forced. My dad sees it differently, and he doesn't know that I like people based on personality, not gender, or that I stopped believing in God a while ago. He just looks at my life and thinks I should pray more about EVERYTHING.

The thing that set this off was that I've been more depressed and anxious since I left school for the term on medical leave. I hate being away from learning and it makes me slip back into the mindset I had in high school when I got really sick. I was having a panic attack so bad that I was (and still am) on the verge of deleting my Facebook and Twitter at the very least. One of those days where I really hate that I don't have friends to do things with and know that I never will in the future because of my personality. One of those days where my brother feels the need to be an ass about how I'm clearly making everything up to come back home. And then my dad needs to tell me that everything that's wrong is because I don't go to church with him anymore and I probably didn't even pray about it, etc.And telling him that the whole idea makes me uncomfortable would probably not go over well so I just have to sit there listening to this.
