Hornet playing an air guitar?
I hope I am not too annoying to you with this question but, May I ask how did you set up commissions and going about doing it? I was thinking about setting up my own but, I am a little lost on that. . .
Aaaaa sorry I’m answering this kinda late. I was at a convention all weekend and I started answering this on Sunday night but was spelling many things wrong and thought... “you know, I should do this when I’m not so exhausted”
ANYWAY
First you need to make sure you have a paypal that can receive money. I don’t know what their policies are right now, but you might have to be 18 or older to properly use it because there were reports of people getting their accounts shut down because their accounts were made at a time where they were under 18.
Next, figure out your prices. Figure out tiers that you’re comfortable with selling art at like, fullbody, torso, colored, lineart, etc. From there, either do some example arts to figure out how long they take you to make or maybe just estimate and multiply that by at least minimum wage.
From there, you can make your sample sheet with the best works you have representing your different tiers and advertise it on tumblr and other social media!
Make sure you include a way for people to contact you to discuss the kind of commission they want. I use email to negotiate stuff, but some people use DMs to do it.
Some people have even taken to using ko-fi for commissions. You need to pay to do it like... in a more... professional way? But I’ve seen most people do stuff like 2 coffees for a sketch or something, which comes out to roughly $6/sketch.
If you’re using paypal to take payment, make sure to use invoices and bill people that way. Paypal has some weird stuff and they’ve been known to shut down accounts for various things. Make sure to check “digital goods” or “services” on the invoice and uncheck the shipping option. Even after you bill the person, paypal might still ask for shipping info, in which case, just check that the order’s been processed.
Uhhh I think... that’s all the big, basic advice I can give without getting too in-depth or complicated. This should be enough info to start out though!

Looks pretty good! What's the font if I may ask?
