Wonky Foxy!

I finished up this red fox skull, which happened to be a bit wonky. I took him last year after a landowner had dispatched him. Didn’t look noticeably off from the outside, that is until after I had skinned him out. I then realized that his eyes didn’t quite line up together. And now that the skull is complete, I can see that 1) his teeth don’t quite come together perfectly and are misaligned, 2) he appears to have a little damage or deformation under the eye on one side, 3) his eyes are off center as well, and 4) he also has a deviated septum, so his nasal cavity is crooked. He hardly looks “normal” when you look at him from every angle. I tried to include as many pics to show how “off” this skull actually is. The last pic is before maceration, and you can see what I noticed with the eyes.

NEOW!! For those of you who don’t know I’m a collector of rarities and oddities. Ranging from bugs, bones, taxidermy, and art. I currently own about 52 specimens. The odd exception being these collectible doll’s called Labubu and an occasional plushie I deem high enough quality for the display. I’m very particular about my pieces and everything is ethically sourced and researched!! Some close ups of the shelves since they will most likely never be shown on stream and will be organized into curio cabinets when we move! Additionally also my Seattle/Alaska haul! ♥️♥️ My favorite thing I own is the cat skull and the tiniest specimen is a bug in a piece of amber :)
