How did I not know your were in upstate NY?
Oh, I don't live there. :) I drove up this weekend for a wedding. We were in the Johnstown area. I went up with a friend from college (another college friend's wedding) and we were marveling at the fact that upstate NY was so close to Canada. Our knowledge of geography isn't so hot. ;)
5 Random Things About Me!
I've been tagged by angeldrinkstea and veggielife and maybe a couple more but I'm bad at getting around to these things!
I am absurdly afraid of being by myself in the dark. I'm talking pitch black kind of dark. I used to sleep with a nightlight (through about two years ago) and now my blinds are never completely closed so that streetlights still peak through. During the Ragnar Relay (trail) I talked and sang to myself while doing the night run to keep my mind off of the dark and being-aloneness.
I really wish I had played sports in school. I did gymnastics (not very well) until I was 14 (and 5'9" at that point already) but I never was on a team for anything. I'm jealous of my younger sisters who are involved in sports and have the real chance to be good at them!
I am the oldest of four girls: we are 27, 24, 16, and 8. And yes, we all have the same parents!
I've lived in 7 states and three countries. All before I was out high school! #armybrat4lyfe
The reason I procrastinate on these things is that I suffer from an anxiety about what to write about and then who to tag at the end! And that's why I also rarely forward on the "send this to your 10 best followers" stuff. THE PRESSURE!

That's going to make it hard to keep hydrated I hope they change this at least for the runners.
You know what, I'm not really worried for ON the course support, it's the waiting around in the starting area that worries me. What will I eat? And sit on? What if it's raining or cold or fifty billion other things? I mean, I'll be there for a couple of hours before the actual start so...I guess we'll find out!

Did you know that spectators are discouraged, but not prohibited, from carrying weapons?

ETA: Belts are STILL allowed. Just not backpack/vest style systems. We won't starve or run out of water!

Hey I saw were paired for the candy/chocolate exchange. What kind of things do you like? Any allergies? Something you know off hand you can't get there but I can here?
You beat me to the punch. I was going to ask the same thing. No allergies. I like chocolate, white chocolate, pecans or walnuts. I don't know of anything that I can't get here. Maybe just be creative or get me something that you like and buy enough for yourself. I am not sure what I am going to get you. So please answer the same questions for me. This should be fun.
