I feel ya, I have so many 4 page papers to write, then a 10 page one then a 20 page one…. -drowns in work- I wish you luck though! We can get through this!

15 happy things c:

tagged by my first-sister so here we go

tea. first thing i do in the morning, often one of the last things i do at night. feels quite as good as scalding your mouth and throat with plant water!

fall. there are so many many many reasons why i love fall and i won't bother to list them all. suffice it to say that i naturally feel happy and excited during the fall and that's amazing.

small lights. fire, christmas lights, fireflies, stars. small and bright and warm and hopeful.

finishing a story. i know it makes some people sad to know that the journey is over, but honestly it isn't; the beautiful thing about recorded stories in most any medium is that they live forever, both in their physical form and in your heart.

remembering happy things. though times change and knowing the fate of a relationship, a choice, etc. might ruin a memory in some ways, i hope that the joy i experienced at the time will never become too tarnished for me to polish and admire again.

a song you forgot. it's like meeting an old friend with whom you have not crossed paths with in a long time.

a new song that you realize you love. and then listening to it for three days straight because you just can't get enough of it. it's like falling in love on a flash-flood scale.

running in beautiful weather. sometimes i like to challenge myself to smile the whole way, sometimes i like to attempt to sing along with my music, sometimes i just watch everything as i go by.

getting excited. gosh, i love few things more than counting down the days to a big release or an event or a life change. it's even better if other people are as psyched as you are!

cuddling to sleep. not that it's something i've gotten to do in a while or that it's something i'm going to have a chance to do any time in the foreseeable future, but it's still one of the happiest things i've ever done.

snow. let me stress that this list is NOT in order. i love snow and have always loved snow and hope to continue loving snow in the future, it's just so magical and beautiful and just ahh i don't know i love snow.

hanging out with friends late into the night. that's when the real talk starts and i like hearing what people really think. i've had some great conversations after 2am.

laughing. this seems redundant and cheesy but i love laughing and feel happy while i do it so who the frick cares. more laughs are more better.

painting at my own pace. i don't do very well where there's art that i HAVE to do, but when i CHOOSE to do it i feel very free.

the fact that i have two wonderful, caring, steadfast friends. emma and stephen, you guys are the best. thanks for listening to me complain and cry and talk endlessly about things neither of you care about. i love you both loads! <>
