Author's Summary:
There's a rumor, Geralt knows, that has spread around the brothels of the Continent and then to a lot of the common folk: Witchers are hung like stallions.
The worst thing about it is that it's true. All of his brothers have complained about how they can't have proper sex, and so has Geralt. He has never found a whore willing to look at him without fear or, worse, laughter. So he stopped trying to bed anyone decades ago.

Summary:
You're the sole survivor of an alien attack on a research station on a nearly dead planet. After a bloodbath and the inevitable fight for survival, you've definitely been through hell and back.
Injured and desperate to call for help, you barricade yourself in the habitat - until another survivor seeking refuge arrives, just as a storm is about to hit. Now, you're trapped with a young Yautja warrior whose first hunt didn't go as planned.
"Absolutely not." Kwei doesn't need to understand the words coming out of your mouth to know that you refuse to do what he's suggesting. Your gaze is fixed on the ventilation shaft cover hanging above you like an ominous box, eyes wide with fear and indignation.
Then your hand gestures upward toward the plastic cover, which is attached to the ceiling with a few screws and behind which is the grille that opens the way into the habitat's air duct system. You look at him with a look that tells him he can go fuck himself.
Well, there's no other choice though. So Kwei nods his head and points at you and then up at the shaft.
You shake your head vigorously.
He nods again.
Angry words escape you, like the agitated chirping of a small Kr'choh. Your ranting and stomping are not unlike a pup's tantrum, and he sighs inwardly - humans don't seem to have very good control over their emotions. They're impulsive, rash, and loud. Undisciplined.
But there's no other way. The snake-like early stages of the Kainde Amedha, which lay their eggs in the bodies of their victims, love to hide in dark and high places. Air shafts are definitely among their favorite hiding places, so someone has to look for them there. And since he himself is too broad to fit into one of these shafts, you have to crawl in there. Which you are obviously not thrilled about.
You curse and hiss like a small animal when the Yautja grabs you by the collar of your overalls and pulls you up with a swing until you are sitting on one of his shoulders. He holds your legs tightly with his arm so that you won't fall down - or escape. You do squirm in his grip, but it's no use; whether you like it or not, your soft little body is going to move into that shaft and seach for possible danger.
Now that he's holding you so tightly, he notices how disturbingly soft you are. Full, round, and soft, yet fragile. Easy to break bones and yielding flesh. That and far too few muscles to fight effectively. You're so different from the Yautja - almost a stark contrast, like night and day.
As you unsuccessfully try to fight back, Kwei reaches up to the ceiling and rips off the air vent cover with one hand. The hard plastic piece clatters to the floor. With minimal effort, he also rips off the following metal grate, which lands with a clang on the floor of the small storage room.
Around you, there are shelves filled with boxes and packages of materials needed to maintain the habitat; this was supposed to be the last room to be searched, until his gaze fell on the ventilation shaft cover, opening up a whole new, area of possible dangers. Every crack and corner must be searched so neither of you is unpleasantly surprised by one of those nasty little parasites, there's simply no way around it.
This would all be much easier if his wrist gauntlet weren't broken. He used the gauntlet to block a nearly fatal blow from the black beast, and now it's barely even functioning. Even though the device can still perform simple scans, the sensors are too damaged to scan for signs of life. Therefore, the search of the ventilation shaft must be done by hand.
The shaft now hangs open above you like a dark gateway to another world. The blood drains from your face, accentuating your exhausted appearance.
Ever since the two of you first saw each other in front of the airlock, you've had a hollow, tired expression with a blank look in your eyes. Kwei recognizes this expression; he has seen it on the faces of the Yautja paraded in chains before the Bloodfight. Souls with no honor, who've fallen from grace and been stripped of their right to live. They too have this empty, dull look that carries a certain... hopelessness.
Obviously, the brutal demise of your crew has affected you emotionally. Humans seem to have strong social bonds, just like the Yautja, and they mourn each other when someone they love dies. With a death as gruesome as that inflicted by the Kainde Amedha, that's not surprising. Though it's an interesting discovery that humans are so emotionally intelligent. He did not expect that.
Nevertheless, Kwei just snorts as you try to defend yourself against his strong hands. Then, he lifts you up and stuffs you into the ventilation shaft.
A muffled scream of protest, followed by what he assumes are profanities, echoes through the shaft. Your legs are still hanging out of the the dark hole in the ceiling; you kick and writhe, but without his arms holding you, you have no choice but to continue wriggling further into the shaft - or risk falling and hurting yourself. He listens to the chirping and ranting as your body disappears into the dark hole; and when even the soles of your boots disappear, the Yautja snorts with amusement.
You're strangely entertaining.
Annoying? Oh, absolutely! On top of that, you're soft, cowardly, whiny, and weak.

The first hunt is special.
It's a duty, a test, and a privilege. It's a sacred ritual that has been performed for ages: Young Yautja, aspiring members of the clans, are given the opportunity to prove their worth. Only those who can hunt have value, and only those who prove themselves in battle may call themselves true Yautja. Only those who follow the code of honor have a place among the ranks of the great warriors.
Kwei has been looking forward to his first hunt for weeks. He wants to prove himself to Njohrr and the clan, he wants to take his rightful place as the eldest son of a great warrior. All eyes are on him until he throws his trophy at his father's feet. He's the successor, the next in line. His success is important; failure is not an option. Failure means death. If he does not die in battle, his father will ensure that he dies anyway.
He looks down at the lifeless body of the Kainde Amedha, the Xenomorph. The huge rock that fell on the monster crushed its skull completely. Using the fragile rock as an execution device was an impulsive move; the beast had done much more damage to his trained body than expected.
Now, little remains of the creature but a black puddle of slime, its acidic blood slowly spreading across the floor. There's no head, no trophy to present to his father. There's no proof of his courage or successful hunt. Although it was a dramatic kill, with the Kainde Amedha's screeching and hissing echoing off the walls of his small cave, it ended with the crunch of the armor being crushed under the rock, rendering it worthless. An impulsive act with a frustrating consequence.
Kwei huffs.
The tip of the monster's tail is lodged in the Yautja's shoulder, just below the collarbone and next to the shoulder joint. Xenomorph tail tips are extremely sharp and pointed — perfect for piercing flesh. Had he not cut off the thin end of the tail with his sword, the beast probably would have dragged him under the rocks to share its fate. Now, his mask is buried under the rubble, lost forever. Great.
He grunts. The pain spreads through his chest like slow-acting poison, throbbing and tugging at his patience like a disobedient pup. For a moment, Kwei has to close his eyes and take a deep breath. Focus. Use the pain to fuel the hunt. Use the anger. Let it flow through your veins like liquid red rock, making you invincible. His father's teachings help him in moments like this, keeping him from feeling overwhelmed and drowning, even if they don't solve the problem.
After some deep breaths to calm his wild heartbeat, he then thinks of his mother's teachings—she's a distinctly strong, stern warrior. Even though she left him in his father's care years ago, her training was intense and impressive. It was refined and focused on an eye for detail rather than just raw power. To be smart about things and to avoid rushing in without a plan.
Assess the situation.
One of the beasts is dead. Another beast was killed by humans who built a station on this planet. He saw the decapitated body where the humans broke open and explored the earth with large machines. The third beast lurks in the shadows of his ship, which is therefore a contaminated zone. In his current state of exhaustion and injury, with a storm looming on the horizon, it would be unwise to rush into the ship and try to kill the beast in a confined space. And who knows how many early-stage parasites are hiding in the cracks and corners of this planet? Perhaps even more grown Kainde Amedha. The hunt is not over yet, but a tactical retreat is necessary to prevent failure.
Father would probably be angry about this decision. Good thing he's not here.
