She missed the wind and the horizon. The sound of hooves through the infinite waves of grass. The feeling that the world was wide and free.
And somehow... all those things looked back at her
When Lyn says she feels safe with Rath, a lot of people focus on the "strength" part, but what stands out to me is that she says it after he's opened up about his loneliness and after they've spent time simply sitting together.
And maybe that's why she feels safe to talk so much around him, his silence might feel like sitting in the grass and talking to the wind, he might sound like home <3
Or Rath is the embodiment of touching grass
But yeah, also re: the strength part, bit of a mistranslation on the localizer's end. The original text says something more about how she "feels the wind blowing around him" (it's mentioned a few times as well that "the wind" is what seems to bid Rath to go wherever he goes, so she's effectively saying that the wind is drawing them together). I'm guessing that "strength" was just what made more sense to the localizers? Or it was a genuine error a la Guy and Priscilla's ending. I agree though how important it is that she said that after he opened up, which neither of them like to do terribly much. It's a bit like either saying what both of them have been meaning to say or, if him opening up to her so much and talking far, far more than normal was his own way of saying he felt safe around her, her returning the sentiment and saying that maybe it's not a coincidence that they understand each other's pain so much, get along so well, keep coming back into each others' lives. It's super sweet, sue me (pun intended). XD
And yes, detox from social media, go talk with an awkward horse nerd.
