An appeal to the Rob Fandom to rate his films
Shaking my fist at the sky, I look at Rob’s movie ratings and want to rail at the universe and cry at the unfairness of it all. Especially when the number of stars on a movie is just plain offensive. (See Love/Hate below.)
Some of Rob’s lowest ranked projects that I’ve come across in my travels, and other shocking tales:
Prime: Love/Hate s1 has only 3 stars. WTF? It has a lower rating than Demons Never Die. WTF?
Prime: Season of the Witch is rated higher than most of the work in his whole career. I mean seriously, WTF?
Vudu: Jet Trash has 3 stars, but Geostorm is rated higher than most of his work.
Vudu: The Messenger has 3 stars, but Season of the Witch is rated better.
IMDB: Mortal Engines, Song of Sway Lake, Moonwalkers are all 6 out of 10 possible stars. Bad Samaritan is 6.5
IMDB: omg Jet Trash, Messenger and Mute are 5.4 or lower. What?! No, really, what?!
IMDB: I got all excited when I saw The Road Within had 7 stars. And then I realized The Road Within has only 7 stars?!
Most Offensive: Cherrybomb has 6.
#rating rob FTW
IMDB rankings are the most crucial to his movie career. Look up the IMDB Starmeter and how they determine ranking. Even just clicking on his name, searches, comments especially - all of that gets tallied. He’s at 5,000, according to IMDB Pro, and here I was hoping he’d get People’s Sexiest Man Alive award this year. 5,000 doesn’t even fall within a ranking of “well-known.” 😭😭😭
“200,000 and below indicates consistently working actor, 2,000 and below well-known actor, and 200 and below celebrity.” From this awesome article on what the rankings mean and how mere mortals can help improve them for their fave actors.
Here’s the short version: Go to IMDB, search his name, click on everything he’s worked on. That alone will help. But rating (and commenting/reviewing) everywhere helps.
