I wrote this fic over the past couple of days. And while I know the Harry Potter fandom has LITERALLY DONE EVERYTHING and then some more...

...I genuinely have a hard time believing that there’s a Drarry fic with Ravenclaw!Harry, where Hermione and Ron are also Ravenclaws so the three plus Luna can be the Junior Marauders, animagus!Harry who is a dog animagus, was raised by Sirus/Remus and through his dog-form grew close to Draco to then convince him to turn his back on Death Eaters from 2014 that also ressembles my writing-style.

I would love to meet that author that shares a brain-cell with me for mixing all of those exact tropes together and have a similar writing style as me, on top of that. Do provide me with their name, please.

I’m just gonna assume you read the summary and have read a similar fic and decided “aha! this must be stolen” without actually reading the story, I guess.

Miss me with that nonsense. I’ve been writing fics for 10 years now but sure, sure, 932 fics in I decided to start stealing other people’s fics. Huh. /s

Quick alternate-sorting AU thoughts

So I feel very strongly that (while you can make a case for any sorting) if they weren’t going to be Gryffindors, the trio would be sorted as

Harry - Slytherin

Ron - Ravenclaw

Hermione - Hufflepuff

I realize this isn’t the popular sorting for Ron and Hermione, but Ron is the kid who got seven OWLs without discernible studying and can recite the dragon-breeding statutes from memory, while "unafraid of toil” is practically on Hermione’s business cards and her respect for authority lasted all the way to Snape’s betrayal in HBP.

But also, can you imagine how much they would all hate these sortings? Harry, of course, is desperately afraid it’s going to turn out he’s Bad, even at eleven. Ron would never picture himself as a Ravenclaw, and can you imagine how the Twins would be about any of their siblings, but especially Ron, being in Ravenclaw? (I don’t think they’d actually care that much, but they would definitely double down on the teasing once they saw how much of a rise it got out of him.) And Hermione, despite having read Hogwarts: a History, clearly buys into the “Hufflepuffs are a bunch of duffers” narrative.

So like. These little kids bonding over how much they hate their sorting and it is definitely not them. (And then Ron and Hermione coming to gradual realizations that actually, theirs was pretty good, and Harry’s like, oh s***. Which plays really well in the overall plot of book 2.)

(Also--Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff have Potions together, so like: Ron and Hermione in Potions without Harry.)
